Austin-Waller win Smackdown tag team title, first ever tag team title for Awesome Truth duo

There are two new champions in the tag team division after the 6-pack ladder match in WrestleMania XL. The Judgement Day duo or Damian Priest and Finn Balor could not retain any of their titles. Raw's tag team championship was won by the Awesome truth duo. Smackdown's tag team championship was claimed by Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. It was a major loss for the Judgement Day.

The match was not that great. The individuals had their brief moments but could not quite capitalize on it. Some of the moments were great to see. Priest was dominant early on with his choke slams. Peter Dunn delivered a flying plane to Finn Balor along with ladder. Along with Tyler Bate, he delivered a moon Sault to every competitor. 

R Truth then gave a homage to his childhood hero, John Cena. He delivered 5 knuckle shuffles to Balor. Truth delivered attitude adjustment to both Balor and Priest which was fitting. Just when DIY's Johnny Gargano and Ciampa aimed to claim the belt, Austin and Waller interrupted. They threw the DIY pair out if the ring. As Austin looked after the surrounding, Waller climbed up the radar to claim the Smackdown tag title.

Awesome Truth claim major win

It was a bit too early in the match, considering the Raw title was won later in the match. For the second title, all the teams fought hard. The target of all teams seemed to be Judgement Day. Despite the assistance from JD McDonagh they could not win anything. The new day interrupted their party and stopped from claiming the title.

As the opportunity arrived at Awesome Truth duo, they did not waste any time. Truth took a bit of his time, climbed the ladder to clinch the Raw tag team title. There was elation all over as R Truth and The Miz won their maiden title as a tag team. It was also the first win of R Truth at WrestleMania. The crowd cheered for the win of the evergreen pair.
