7 WWE feuds that happened only once but fans wanted more

1. CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Promo Teases, 2011)

WWE teased it during the infamous "WWE 2K" face-off, but it never happened. A feud between Austin’s attitude and Punk’s straight edge would have been gold.

2. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 21)

A technical masterpiece that fans still call one of the best matches ever. It happened only once, but could have easily been a trilogy.

3. The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar (SummerSlam 2002)

The clash of “The Next Big Thing” vs. “The People’s Champion” was iconic, but The Rock left for Hollywood, ending what could’ve been a legendary rivalry.

4. The Undertaker vs. Goldberg (Super ShowDown 2019)

Though their only match was disappointing, fans always dreamed of a proper storyline feud between these two legends.

5. AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins (Money in the Bank 2019)

A dream match delivered once, but WWE never booked a long-term feud. Both men could’ve carried a multi-PPV rivalry.

6. John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (SmackDown, 2017)

They faced off once in a dream match on SmackDown. Nakamura won, but WWE never revisited it for a bigger stage like WrestleMania.

7. Bret Hart vs. The Rock (1997 House Show)

They faced briefly before Bret left for WCW. A full feud would’ve been a perfect generational clash.
