3 NXT Male Superstars who could get drafted to SmackDown by 2025 (X)
Overview
- SmackDown has hit a huge downward trend in its ratings and lost many talents in the second half of 2025
- As a result, some of the NXT Superstars could receive their main roster callup rather sooner than later
- From the Men's division, the likes of Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and Je'Von Evans could become full-time SmackDown Superstars
As SmackDown has experienced low ratings and the loss of talents, there are NXT Superstars who are likely to be called up sooner than later. In the Men's division, the blue brand lacks main event worthy contenders to dance along Cody Rhodes. There's a need for the creative team to develop younger stars, who could go on to become major Superstars in future.

While the red brand is performing well every week, SmackDown has experienced bad review from the fans, thanks to its mediocre product. The best way to change things could be to include some fresh faces to the roster, mostly from its developmental brand. There are many talented male Superstars who have proven themselves on NXT.

Trick Williams
Trick Williams has been an NXT Champion twice and the TNA X-Division Champion once since 2024. The star wrestler is great on mic, good in his character development, has a good theme song, is highly over among the fans, and can do fine as an in-ring wrestler. He has what it takes to be a future Superstar.

Recently, Trick dropped his TNA X-Division belt to Mike Santana at TNA Bound For Glory. Given his history with Carmelo Hayes in NXT, their friendship and rivalry could be explored on the main roster as well. In future, they might have a feud, which could be worthy to headline some of the major PLEs.
Je'Von Evans
Je'Von Evans has already appeared on a couple of SmackDown episodes and even challenged Sami Zayn for the US Open title. Evans is very young and is one of the most athletic stars in all of WWE. At a very young age in his career, Evans got a chance to wrestle Randy Orton. He seems to be a talent destined for greatness in the future.

Je'Von hasn't won a title in NXT to date. When asked about his main roster callup in an interview, he wasn't sure if he was ready. However, he is ready without a doubt, especially to feature in some non-title feuds. If Street Profits duo implode, Evans' match with Montez Ford could become one of the highly anticipated ones.
Oba Femi
Oba Femi has a mega star written all over. From the presentation to the character work to the promo ability and in-ring skills, Oba is a top tier in almost all aspects. Femi can be a great heel in the days to come. He has been the longest-reigning and the greatest NXT North American Champion of all time.
Apart from that, Oba also had a great run as the NXT Champion. For starters, he could be in the mid card and take the United States Championship away from Sami Zayn, which could lead to some highly anticipated feuds with that of Jacob Fatu and others. One must not be surprised if Oba is pushed to be the world champion in under a year.
