Jason Gillespie Resigns as Pakistan’s Red ball Coach – Why?
1. Gillespie had been hired by the PCB to much fanfare, alongside Gary Kirsten, in April.
2. However, since October, the board’s attitude towards the Australian coach cooled, starting with his removal from the Test side’s selection panel
3. It is believed that Gillespie had minimal input in selecting the Test squad for the tour of South Africa
4. Gillespie was particularly angered after the PCB decided not to renew the high-performance red-ball coach Tim Nielsen's contract
5. He was offended that he wasn’t consulted or even informed before the decision was made.
