Tennis star player Novak Djokovic has gone through a mixed campaign in 2024. It was for the first time since 2017 that the 37-year-old tennis legend star failed to win any Grand Slam title in 2024. However, the Serbian will remember 2024 for all the right reasons after completing his trophy cabinet. The star player finally managed to win a gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 after thwarting Carlos Alcaraz in the final game in the singles category with a score of 7-6, 7-6.

The 39-year-old tennis player believed that the former world number one has decided to continue playing the game because he feels that he can compete. Tomas feels that one thing that motivated Djokovic to not announce his retirement is his hunger to win the 25th Grand Slam title.

“Of course, it is sad to see the guys having to stop their careers, but you know it’s going to happen, and it’s impossible for them to play forever,” he said. “But when you look at their achievements, I totally get why they were trying to really push it because you never know what might happen.
