The Charleston Open has been one of the longest-running WTA tournaments. Some great players have been featured in the tournament. It started with some great matches featuring some of the best Women's tennis players. This tournament is also started the clay season for these amazing talents in the sport.
One of the most iconic players in the tournament is former world number 1 Victoria Azarenka. Victoria might have missed some big tournaments due to injury, but we can still not forget her great achievements in the sport. Azarenka is also known as one of the Aggressive baseliners known for her flat and fast forehand winners. Azarenka has also gone on to win 4 Grand Slams in her career and is one of the few players successful in both the doubles and the singles categories.

Victoria Azarenka had just won a great game against Taylor Townsend in the second round of the Charleston Open. Azarenka after losing an intense tiebreaker in the first set, went on to dominate Townsend in the next two sets and qualify for the quarter-finals. Azarenka after the game had an interview which also featured her son Leonard. The two were discussing the match in the interview, where Leonard revealed that he took an ice cream break after his mother lost in the first set. This was a really sweet and funny bonding moment between mother and son.

Leonard did seem slightly nervous when answering questions in the interview but was still comfortable and chilled with his mother beside him. These interviews show us the softer side of Azarenka, which we hardly see on the tennis court. Throughout the interview, the bond between the two was beautiful. It was also good to see Leonard witness all the matches in this ongoing tournament which shows the love between the individuals.
