The man who has been the torchbearer and started an era in the 2000s is Swiss Maestro Roger Federer. He is one of the legendary figures in the game. There is a big legacy behind the great sporting icon, who has won over 100 career titles and 20 Grand Slams. Federer has given us some of the best moments in the game which every fan remembers to this day after he retired from the game in 2022.

The legacy of Roger Federer is even covered in his recently released documentary called '12 final days' which can be seen on Amazon Prime video. This film not only gives us a glimpse of one of the greatest sports careers in the world but also some footage of his personal life which is filled with a lot of sweet and emotional moments. This was also played at the Tribeca Film Festival as well.

Mirka in tears after Federer's retirement announcement

One of the important figures in Federer's life is his wife and former professional tennis player Mirka Federer, who was also mentioned and acknowledged in the film. Though there were a lot of sweet segments shared between the couple during the entire film, one of the most emotional moments was when his wife was in tears during one of her interview segments which was after Federer had announced his retirement from the game. We could see how emotional the wife of the legend was when she broke into tears when discussing the topic of the Maestro leaving the game.
