The rivalry that caught everyone's attention in the early 2000s was between King Of Clay Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Both these legendary figures have been the most dominating stars in the game and all of us were proud to see the two compete against each other during their prime. There are a lot of legendary matches these two have been a part of and we will surely miss them two with Federer already retired and Nadal recently announcing his this year.

The 2009 Australian Open final was one of the most iconic matches between the two which went on for over 4 hours. There were a lot of people backing Federer to win his 14th title and join the ranks of Pete Sampras, unfortunately, the Swiss fell short and it was the Spaniard who emerged victorious.
There were also scenes of Roger Federer breaking down in tears after the heartbreaking loss during his speech, however, it was Nadal's gesture of coming to comfort him on stage that was pretty iconic. This showed the level of respect Nadal had for Federer and explains why they are the most loved individuals in the game.
