Tennis players were asked to choose the best actors in tennis as the Oscar fever is on. Usually, during Oscar week, many celebrities predict the winners and the best movies. But it was quite different now as the players were called out to choose their favourite actors from WTA and ATP.
Acting inside the court is not different in tennis as many players sometimes act in front of the chair umpire to take some time and break the momentum if they think they are losing the game. It is quite visible many times as players take a medical timeout, keeping their face as if they are suffering from immense pain.
But once they come out of the medical timeout, they will be very different with their game play and even outclass their opponents and win games. Many players even complain about their opponents faking their injuries and winning. So the tennis stars are quite aware of players acting on courts and they were asked to pick the best actors for the Oscars.
Tennis Best actors
Aryna Sabalenka opens with a well-known answer, and that is Novak Djokovic. The serbian often take a medical timeout to break the momentum. Even during the 2025 Australian Open, many tennis experts called him out for faking his injury against Carlos Alcaraz. But his injury was real as he retired in the semifinals game against Alexander Zverev and even posted his injury scans on his Twitter. But Carlos Alcaraz still thinks Novak is the best actor in tennis, as he also names him.
But Djokovic, on the other hand, names Andrey Rublev as the best actor, but for a different reason. The serbian says he looks like an action star and will be perfect for action movies. Coco Gauff and Alex Di Minaur named the Italian Berettini as an actor and Hollywood material for his looks. Danii Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva named Karen Khachanov as an acting material as they believe he looks like Liam Hemsworth. Stefanos Tsitsipas says Nick Kyrgios will be the best actor.
For Women, many players like Djokovic, Di Minaur, and Mirra Andreeva chose Aryna Sabalenka for her charismatic look and character. Though the russian chose herself to be one of the best actors. Players like Dani Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz chose Coco Gauff as the acting material. Some even named Emma Navarro as acting material for her looks.
