The game of tennis is really popular among the masses and there have been a lot of great tennis players who are idolized athletes all around the world. What makes this sport even more iconic that the athletes are considered legends regardless of being men or women. While there is someone like Novak djokovic who was dominating in the mens, there were players like Serena Williams who was greatest player in Womens tennis. These two Sporting icons are no doubt one of the most iconic people in sports.

Though we have enjoyed both the Men's and Women tennis players there are still many players and people bringing up the issue that the Women in the sport are being paid less than the men. This has been a running issue which is being debated event today. The media is also giving their opinions on this controversial matter saying that the organisation should do something to make sure that gender nuetral payment in this sport co-exists.

Nadal gives a befitting reply to the media

There is no doubt that gender equality is a great thing to fight about but there is a limit to how much you try to get answers out of everyone possible even players who would try to avoid these type of questions due to it being controversial. Even Rafael Nadal  was asked the same question by a reporter on why Women are not paid equally in the sport. To this the 22-time Grand Slam winner had a befitting reply saying that why women are paid more in the Fashion industry compared to men.This was the best answer given by the legend which not only avoided getting caught in the controversy.

There is no doubt that everyone should treat women and men equally, but when the ,media goes on to attack a player instead of the organisation is not really the best move. Players like Nadal would not know the reason behind the salary differences at all and he had made it clear through this reply that he has just come here to play tennis and talk about the game. This response from the legend should teach everyone a lesson.
