Tennis legend Rafael Nadal retired from professional tennis last year but he still has the same fire and skills inside him. He was seen playing padel racket along with his former coach Carlos Moya and other colleagues in his academy.
Nadal established a tennis academy named after him at Manacor, Spain. He trains young tennis talents from all around the world and makes them professional tennis players. The 22-time Grand Slam winner has grown bigger than sports like Roger Federer and has millions of fans.
The legend is now enjoying his retirement days training with young players and doing social activities. A recent video shows Nadal playing padel racket with his friends inside the academy. Padel Racket has become the most preferred sport among professional athletes to keep them fit.
Many Formula 1 drivers and footballers play Padel racket as a warmup during their leisure time, while some tennis legends see padel rackets as a threat to professional tennis. But Rafael Nadal still enjoys playing it with his friends. More than that, Nadal still shows his ability to watch the ball until the last moment and hit a return shot with massive pace, like in tennis.
Rafael Nadal is still the king of Racket sports
Rafa is known for his sheer pace and moving abilities. And even today, it helps him while playing padel racket. The legendary player is among the Big Three in tennis, which includes Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. From the early 2000s to late 2020, the three dominated the tennis world, with Novak Djokovic winning 24 Grand Slams, Nadal with 22 Grand Slams, and Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slams. No tennis player was as dominant as these three were in their prime. Only Novak Djokovic is left in the three, and he has yet to announce his retirement.
