The Italian Open has begun and we have already seen some iconic matches in this tournament not only in the ATP but the WTA as well. Though there is no doubt that the two favourites in the competition will be Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka who are the highest-seeded players in the tournament right now, there are some other talented players who are making a big comeback this season.
One of the comeback queens in the season is 26-year-old Spaniard Paula Badosa who is just coming back from a serious injury in the Stuttgart Open. There were a lot of problems which were going on for the former world number 2 which also includes her breakup with top 10 ranked ATP player Stefanos Tsitsipas. She had already made a great start to the competition beating Emma Navaro in the the second round of the tournament and was set to improve her luck in WTA 1000 tournaments.
Badosa celebrates with passion
Badosa was set to play young Russian Diana Schnader in the third round of the tournament who might be a low-ranked player but still had a lot of potential. Though she lost the first set of the match Badosa came back with two dominant victories in the last two sets and made it to the fourth round of the competition. This was the first time she made it that far in a WTA 1000 game and she celebrated that with a scream. This was a passionate and joyful moment for the talented Spaniard.

This could be one of the biggest comebacks for Badosa as she will go on to the fourth round where she will have a chance to make it to the playoffs as well. This has been a great comeback so far for Badosa after having some major physical and personal problems that could bring down many athletes. It will be interesting to see how far she will go in one of the biggest tournaments in the WTA tour.
