Tennis legend Novak Djokovic's recent quarter-final match against Carlos Alcaraz at the Australian Open 2025 at the Rod Laver Arena of Melbourne Park on January 21 was not just a sporting event but seems like a heartwarming family moment. After the Serbian ace's hard-fought win, which ended 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4, his son Stefan Djokovic was seen celebrating exuberantly in the stands.

Following Djokovic's winning point, 11-year-old Stefan was seen roaring with excitement and clapping joyfully alongside his sister Tara and their mother, Jelena. This display of enthusiasm showcases the extremely close bond within the Djokovic family and their support towards Novak during such a high-stakes encounter.

The small kids were present in the player's box throughout the game, which lasted over three and a half hours. Their presence has added a personal touch to the thrilling encounter, showcasing the importance of family support in the Serbian legend's historic career.

'When are you going to sleep tonight?'

During the post-match interview, Novak Djokovic hilariously acknowledged the late hour and said that his children are still awake till 1 AM. The star player playfully questioned them about when they would go to sleep, bringing lightheartedness to the serious atmosphere after the intense battle with Carlos Alcaraz.

“I’m surprised my kids are still here. Thank you for supporting me. But it’s 1 am! When are you going to sleep tonight? they don’t want me to talk about them. Firstly I want to give my utmost respect and admiration for Carlos and everything he stands for - and what he has achieved so far in his young career. What a terrific guy he is and an even better competitor... I just wish that this match today was the final, honestly,” Djokovic said during the interview with Jim Courier.
