Tennis legend Gael Monfils stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of the Miami Open 2025 after his stellar victory over Jaume Munar in the third round of the prestigious tournament. The Frenchman was indulged in the thrilling three-setter clash and won the game with a scoreline of 7-5, 5-7, and 7-6.

Meanwhile, Monfils has opened up about his tactical skill and the pragmatic approach he used in the game after engaging in the tough second set of the game. The star player has thanked the crowd, who erupted in joy during his post-match interview.
“I've played so many matches and I know it’s not easy to close out matches with a big atmosphere. If you win the first point, it’s key. I was fortunate enough to return down the line and come down to the net and I caught him. I knew at that moment, that point can be a game changer and it was. Crowd getting involved and then it’s pure experience and pure joy from my side as well,” said Monfils after the win.
