The qualifiers for the Grand Slam event in New York have begun and we have seen some great performances from the players looking to make it to the main draw of the tournament. These players might not be one of the big and popular players, but we have seen many players giving some great performances in the Grand Slam event even after coming through the qualifiers.

One of the players who was the favourite to qualify for the main draw was former World number 31 Maxime Cressy who was looking forward to the tournament. However, this was not the best time at the qualifiers for Cressy who could not make it through after losing an intense three-set match against Hubert where we saw him miss out on many match points during the game. This was no doubt a disappointing exit for the French-American player as he bowed out early from the US Open 2024.

Cressy being a sore loser

There is no doubt that it is always heartbreaking to lose a game and exit when you have dreams of playing one of the biggest tournaments in tennis but like in every sport even if you lose it's better to do it gracefully and keep moving forward to the next tournament. However Cressy did not take this loss very well and after the match was seen throwing a tantrum and chucking things out on the court. This can be considered as a bad example for sportsmanship by the Cressy.

We could relate to the frustration by Cressy after all he had plenty of opportunities to win this game as well. However, this clip of his throwing a tantrum after throwing things around is not a good look for him as a professional tennis player. The lack of unprofessionalism is something which should not be taken lightly and we hope that Cressy eventually learns from his mistakes.
