During the 2025 Qatar TotalEnergies Open in Doha, a playful kitten has become an unexpected star once again. On February 11, during the thrilling showdown between tennis stalwarts Aryna Sabalenka and Ekaterina Alexandrova, the kitten ran into the court, momentarily becoming the spoilsport and halting their game.
Just the next day, February 12, the same kitten made another appearance in the game between Ons Jabeur and Sofia Kenin. As the play was underway, the kitten was seen appearing at the back of the court, causing a brief pause in the encounter. It quickly scurried off when the ball boy came into the court to grab the kitten with his hands. These charming moments in the game have delighted both fans and players in the game, adding a touch of whimsy to the marquee event.

Ons Jabeur vs Jelena Ostapenko: Head-to-Head
Coming to the game dynamics, Ons Jabeur has defeated Sofia Kenin 6-3, 6-4 in round 16 to storm into the quarterfinals of the Doha Open 2025. The 30-year-old is now set to face Jelena Ostapenko in the last eight rounds. Notably, Jabeur is 4-2 against Ostapenko, and she defeated her in two tight sets just last week in the Abu Dhabi Open. The Tunisian-born star seems to be in a good place in Doha, both with her game and with the fans who come out to see her.
โWhen I first came back to practice, it was a bit tough for me. It was the first time that I took a long break like that and if I take a break, I do take a break; I don't do anything. It was like a real break, so for me, I struggle a little bit with coming back. Sometimes you block just one part of your body that you weren't supposed to block. It was so weird getting other injuries, but thankfully I got stronger and stronger and had a very patient team, a very understanding team,โ Jabeur said.
