World number 1 Jannik Sinner secures another dominant victory over Alex de Minaur to make sure Italy makes the finals of the Davis Cup once again. The Italian team is now set to face the Netherlands and are just one match away from defending their title and creating history once again.

The Davis Cup is one of the most prestigious international tournaments in Tennis which we all have enjoyed. One of the matches we were looking forward to was the semi final between the defending champions Italy and last years runner up Australia. Though there were glimpses of exciting plays made by the Aussies it was the Italians who got the 2-0 victory and go through to the finals of the Davis Cup once again.

Sinner does it again

The moment Matteo Berrettini won a thrilling game against Thanasi Kokkinakis it was now time for Sinner to show his magic in the game against Australian number 1 Alex de Minaur and he did it in style. Though there were a few hiccups here and there in the end the 2-time Grand Slam winner was the most dominant as he secures a straight victory with scores 6-3 and 6-4 to ensure that the Italian team makes it to the finals for the second consecutive time and have a chance to defend their title.

The reaction of de Minaur says it all as he throws down his racquet after the loss against the World number 1. Italy will now be up against the Netherlands in the finals and will be hoping for another dominating performance like this. The Dutch will be ready for another fight but with the form Sinner is in it seems like there is nothing to stop him from getting his hands on another trophy.
