The Cincinnati open is currently in the playoff stage and there are plenty of great matches still left in the match. The quarter finals are still going on and there are some big players in the scene still alive in the contest. One of the players who is one of the clear favorites in the tournament is Jannik Sinner. The Italian sensation is the current World number one and will want to make the most out of this last ATP/WTA 1000 tournament just before the US Open.
Jannik Sinner was up against Russian superstar Andrey Rublev once again and this was the moment where he had the opportunity to take revenege againts him for his quarter final loss in Canada. This was another quarter final match where the Italian was looking forward to against one of the best Russian players in the World right now. After the match in Montreal this was once again set to be another iconic match between two worthy players in the ATP scene.
Sinner gets through to the Semi's
Though there will be a lot of people who will be looking forward to Sinner getting a victory over Rublev the match did not necessarily start in that matter at all. Andrey Rublev took the first set by a score of 6-4 and putting the World number one under pressure straight away. However, Sinner was not going down with a fight and he still came back fighting his way through the secoind set winning it by a margin of 7-5 to make this game a 3-set thriller. The third and final set in the end belonged to Sinner as he finally gets his redemption over Rublev in this match and becomes the first male Italian player to make it to the Italian Open semi finals.

This was a great performance and great match tro witness once again where we saw two great players battle it out on the court once again. With this Sinner makes it to the Semi finals of the tournament and will be keep his chances of winning a title before US Open alive.
