The Paris Olympics tennis event has finally begun and there are a lot of great matches to look forward to this season. This has been a tournament where we will be able to see some big stars compete for Olympic Glory and win a medal while representing their nation. This is the event that will give us some great moments in the game featuring some legendary figures as well.

One of the matches we all have been looking forward to was between current World number One Iga Swiatek, who was up against Romanian player Irina=Camelia Begu in the first round. This is a match between the young dominant 5-time Grand Slam winner who is up against the 33-year-old  experienced campaigner. This was also the first Olympics for Swiatek who will also be playing at a venue where she has enjoyed a lot of success in the last few years already.

Iga Swiatek gets a straight victory in round one

The first set started in favour of the Polish superstar who went on to dominate throughout with a score of 6-2 and get an early lead in the game. This straight away put pressure on Begu. There was just one more set to take to get through to round 2 and Swiatek was on top in the game so far. The second round saw Begu give a bit of a fight, but in the end, it was another straight-set victory for Swiatek who went on to win the first round of the Olympics and go through to the second round of the Paris Olympics.

This was more or less another game where Swiatek was dominating her opponent on clay. The Polish superstar was looking a little under par in the second set, but she still managed to get the win and go through to the next round of the tournament. She still showed us why she is one of the favourites to get her hands on gold and the games being on her favourite surface making the chances even better for her.
