Alcaraz was high in confidence and the young 21-year-old also seemed excited to play in the global event. There were a lot of expectations from the Spaniard to get a victory in this first-round match.

Alcaraz is always known to start strong and that is exactly what he did in this match. The Spaniard was once again at his dominant best in the first set winning it by a score of 6-3. This was straight away looking like Alcaraz's game straight away with just one more set to win. The second set of the match also went in favor of the 4-time Grand Slam winner as he comfortably made it through to round 2 of the Paris Olympics 2024. This was a great start to the young Spanird's Olympic debut.

Alcaraz has proven once again why he is regarded as the next big thing in tennis and he will want to continue it going ahead in this tournament. This was another game where he has given us a glimpse of why he is one of the best players on clay in this era. This is the first win that will take him closer to Olympic glory which will be another achievement he will look forward to.
