There are a lot of big players featuring in this tournament and all the fans will be rooting for their favorite players going forward. This will be the moment for the players to finally get closer to Grand Slam glory.
The first semi final was between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev who are currently one of the top ranked and higher seeded players in this tournament. While Alcaraz is the defending champion, Medvedev is still looking for his Grand Slam glory which has eluded him since 2021. There have also been some great battles between these two and we all were looking forward to seeing them compete once again.
Alcaraz keeps title defense alive
There is no doubt that Carlos Alcaraz is one of the clear favorites to win the tournament being the defending champion and also winning the Roland Garros as well. However he was given a bit of a surprise in the first set by Daniil Medvedev as he loses the first set tiebreaker. This did not affect the World number 3 that much as he went onto win the next two sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-4. This means that Alcaraz was just one set away from making it to the finals and did it convincingly by winning the 4th set and making it to the Wimbledon finals once again.
