The Wimbledon Womens Final was on and this was the day where we finally see who will be the Wimbledon champion of 2024. The match was between barbora Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini, who were both competing for their first Wimbledon title. Both these players were already the surprise packages of the season who were going onto win the biggest title of their career. 

There was no doubt that Barbora Krejcikova was the more experience campaigner in this matchup who had achieved a Grand Slam victory in Paris back in 2021. However, she was up against World number 7 Paolini who was playing her second consecutive Grand Slam final. This was a great matchup where both these players were on the court and playing the biggest match of their career where one is looking for her first glorious moment and the one looking to get back into form. This was really a match to look forward to for everyone.

Barbora wins her 2nd Grand Slam in Wimbledon

The firest set saw Krejcikova get the better of Jasmine Paolini as she won the first set by a score of 6-2 and put pressure on the young Italian. However, Paolini came back in the second set and straight away came back into the game. With the last and final set to go a brilliant was set up for the champion of Wimbledon 2024. It was a slightly tough final set but in the end it was the Czech who finally got her 2nd Grand Slam title after 3 years and has finally got her hands on the Wimbledon title.

This was a great final featuring both the talented players, who have given some great performances this season. These two had given it their all in this final match, but it was Barbora who finally ended her 3 year title drought. It might have been slightly sad for Paolini who has lost her second consecutive Grand Slam final, but we still have to appreciate her for giving us a great match in the end. Overall it was a great end to the Women singles tournament and we have finally got our winner.
