Two clay tournaments are being played just before the Olympics. While the likes of Rafael Nadal are featuring in Bastad, Alexander Zverev is featuring in Hamburg. The German has been one of the high-ranking players in the ATP and has given some great performances during his career. He also attended this tournament in Hamburg as the highest-seeded player in the ATP 500 event.

Alexander Zverev might have not won a slam in his career but there is no doubt he is one of the best players in the World right being a two-time Grand Slam finalist and has won 22 career titles as well. However, it is safe to say his luck in Grand Slams has not been the best so far and the last Wimbledon saw him go out in the 4th round. He is currently enjoying a great run in the Hamburg Open where he has made it to the quarter-finals and will be playing against Zhang Zhizhen to make it to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Zverev furious at the umpire

Zverev was in his round of 16 match against Hugo Gaston and had a thrilling encounter with the Frenchman where he came back after being one set down. In the next two sets, Zverev went on to win 6-2 and 7-5 and made his way into the quarter-finals. However, there was one moment in the match where Zverev had possibly seen that the ball had bounced twice as Gaston was returning. This resulted in a bitter exchange of words between Zverev and the umpire on whether it bounced more than once or not. There was a huge argument between the World number 4 and the umpire on the call.

This was a moment where we got to see a lot of drama between the two players and the umpires and Zverev would be happy that he managed to come out victorious despite the mishaps. We hope Zverev can win this tournament which will give him enough confidence to win his second Gold medal in the upcoming Olympics. The German sensation managed to come back strong after a disastrous start to the match, but this is one moment he would like to forget altogether.
