10. 2012 US Open Final – Andy Murray vs. Novak Djokovic

British tennis star Andy Murray won his first major title by defeating defending champion Novak Djokovic in the 2012 US Open final, 7–6, 7–5, 2–6, 3–6, 6–2. The incredible tension and sheer quality in the first set will make this match one of the greatest tennis matches of all time.

The Borg–McEnroe rivalry is one of the biggest rivalries in tennis history. The 1981 Wimbledon final was a repeat of the previous edition, but this time the winner was different. McEnroe's excellent serve enabled him to snatch victory from Bjorn Borg.

Tennis fans were treated to an absolute thriller after everyone wrote off two of the greatest rivals in the sport's history - Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal. The game was filled with exciting baseline rallies, great serving, close games, and momentum shifts. It was the ninth meeting between the two in a Grand Slam final, with Federer snapping a six-match losing streak against Nadal in the main event with a 6-3 win in the final set.

Another epic rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The 2013 French Open semifinal is described by some commentators as the best clay court match ever. The two fought an intense 4 hours and 37 minutes that was filled with dominance, comebacks, drama, and controversy. However, Nadal outlasted Djokovic to win 6–4, 3–6, 6–1, 6–7, 9–7.

Spanish legend Rafael Nadal defeated Serbian great Novak Djokovic in the final to claim his second men's singles tennis title at the US Open. Nadal defeated the then-world number one Djokovic 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 in a thrilling encounter on the hard court. Notably, it was Nadal's 13th career Grand Slam. 

4. 1980 Wimbledon Final – Bjorn Borg vs. John McEnroe

Former Swedish tennis player Björn Borg defeated his American counterpart John McEnroe in the final, 1–6, 7–5, 6–3, 6–7, 8–6 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships. It was Borg’s fifth consecutive Wimbledon title and tenth major title overall. The intense battle between the two is still considered by many to be one of the greatest matches in tennis history. 

3. 2019 Wimbledon Final - Novak Djokovic vs. Roger Federer

The 2019 Wimbledon final is undoubtedly one of the greatest matches between two legends Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. Although defending champion Djokovic successfully defended his title, this match showcased both their brilliance in the greatest of ways. 

After almost 5 hours of tough battle, the Serbian superstar won with the score of 7–6, 1–6, 7–6, 4–6, 13–12. In fact, this was the longest singles final in Wimbledon history and the third-longest Grand Slam final in history. 

2. 2012 Australian Open Final - Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal

 

The 2012 Australian Open final went down as one of the most historic matches in tennis. One of the key battles of the Djokovic-Nadal rivalry lasted 5 hours and 53 minutes - the longest (by duration) and most thrilling grand slam final ever. 

The record was previously set by the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl. Djokovic, who was ranked No. 1 in the ATP rankings at the time, triumphed 5-7 6-4 6-2 6-7(5) 7-5 at 1:37 am.

The tennis world witnessed one of the greatest matches of all time in the Wimbledon final on July 6, 2008. The Centre Court clash was between two legends of the game, the then-top-ranked Roger Federer and the second-ranked Rafael Nadal. Former Swiss star Federer, at that point, had won 5 Wimbledon titles on the trot. 

Nadal, on the other hand, has been in two consecutive Wimbledon finals without winning. Everyone believed that Federer would extend his record, but it was the Spaniard Nadal who emerged victorious (6–4, 6–4, 6–7, 6–7, 9–7) after a thrilling 4 hours and 48 minutes of play.
