It has been a great season of tennis so far and there have been a lot of iconic matches to look back to in this wonderful season of tennis. There have been some great performances from some of the top players and we are looking forward to seeing them play in the upcoming major tournaments and display the same consistency we have seen so far.

Though the ATP and WTA tournaments are equally important for the players to stay relevant in the season it is the Grand Slams that become the final focus of the game. These are the major tournaments where the legends are created and we have seen some great players being created through these big events. This time we will be looking into who is leading the charts in the ATP and WTA scene with the most number of wins in these tournaments.

So,  here are the players with the most wins in Grand Slam tournaments:

5. Jimmy Connors- 233 wins

Jimmy Connors might be one of the most controversial figures in the game of tennis, but we cannot ignore the fact that he has also been one of the best players in the game. With 8 Grand Slam trophies to his name and epic rivalries with the likes of Bjorn Borg and John Mcenroe, he established himself as an iconic figure in the game of tennis. Connors currently has the most Grand Slam wins for an American and is still regarded as one of the legends in the game with 233 victories to his name.

4. Rafael Nadal- 314 wins

There will never be an elite Grand Slam list like this without the King Of Clay. The Spaniard has had some of the most successful years in the game and has been one of the biggest dominating forces in tennis. We all know his performance in the Roland Garros where he has won 14 titles in one of the toughest tournaments in the game. No one has come close to his record as well. Apart from the French Open Rafael Nadal has won 2 Wimbledon, 4 US Open, and 2 Australian Open taking his Grand Slam count to 22 and also managing to win 314 Grand Slam games. This is another fact why El Nino is still regarded as one of the best the world has ever seen.

3. Serena Williams- 367 wins

It is no surprise that Serena Williams is going to feature in this list at all. If we want to talk about who has been one of the most dominant players the world has ever seen it is Serena Williams. Serena became one of the biggest stars in tennis despite a variety of big stars in the game. Serena has won 23 Grand Slams where she has won 7 Australian Open, 3 French Open, 7 Wimbledon, and 6 US Open. She had also made a habit of dominating all her rivals in the game including the likes of Martina Hingis and Maria Sharapova. With these performances, she now has the most Grand Slam wins for a WTA player with 367 wins to her name.

Federer has won 20 Grand Slams to his name with 8 Wimbledon, 6 Australian Open, 5 US Open, and a French Open title. If you thought Federer still held the record for the most wins in major trophies, you have missed the Serbian Powerhouse in the ongoing Roland Garros tournament this season. There are no words to describe the great career of Novak Djokovic so far where he is still leading the rankings. Djokovic has just surpassed one of his arch-rivals as he gets a win over Francisco Cerundolo in the 4th round of the Roland Garros this season. With 24 Grand Slams and 370 Grand Slam victories to his name, he has once again entered the record books and is still looking strong in the Clay season finale.
