The Roland Garros is still in its early days and after day 2 we will be looking into the matches of day 3 as well. The highest-seeded player and number 1 player Novak Djokovic will also be featured tomorrow. He will also be going into this tournament after being the defending champion as well. The time has finally arrived when we get to see the best in the world compete on the day.

Novak Djokovic will start his tournament playing against wildcard player Pierre Hugues Hubert in his first-round match. Looking at the stats this should be an easy victory for Djokovic, but looking at his form this season, the 37-year-old is currently going through one of the underwhelming phases of his career. Hubert might not look like a top player on the cards, but he still has experience on his side which could help him in this about.

Novak is the clear favourite

Novak Djokovic might not be in his peak form which he has been in the last few seasons, but there is no doubt that he will still be the favourite to win this first-round encounter. Hubert might have played a lot on these services, but it is the Serbian who has more experience in winning matches in Grand Slam tournaments. The last time these two had played was 11 years ago in The Paris Masters where it was Djokovic who got the straight win. However, there could be the case that Hubert might take advantage of Djokovic who is not really in his best form this year.

Though there are a lot of facts that can play a big role in this game, it is clear that Djokovic is most likely going to win this game and move forward to the next round. There have been surprises in this Clay season, but seeing the Serbina Powerhouse lose to a player who is ranked below the top 100 is something none of us can expect at all.
