Roland Garros 2024: Novak Djokovic vs Lorenzo Musetti head-to-head preview

It is still round 3 of the Clay Season finale and there are still a lot of big matches to look out for in the upcoming tournament in Paris. This has already been a tournament that is full of surprises and we are thrilled to have some great matches in this season. Tomorrow is going to be another day where we get to see some matches featuring one of the top players once again. 

The match which we will be talking about is between world number 1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic who will be up against Lorenzo Musetti in his third-round match in the tournament. This is another seemingly interesting encounter since according to stats Djokovic is well in front of the 30th-ranked Italian, but Musetti has been known to surprise some big stars of the game and has even beaten a former top-10 ranked player in Gael Monfils in the second round.

Can Musetti get another win over Djoko?

Let us be clear that this is not the first time Djokovic will be facing the Italian as they have already faced each other in 5 matches before this. Though it is Novak Djokovic who holds the lead in this encounter, Musetti will know in the back of his mind that he has beaten the 24-time Grand Slam champion last year in the Monte Carlo Open. Though Djokovic managed to get redemption in the last game they played, He is still battling the pressure of failing to win a title this entire season. This gives the match a bit of an interesting look since we have already been surprised this season and this could lead to another tomorrow.

Djokovic will still be the favorite to win this match. There is no doubt that Musetti has some ability in him and he can cause some damage, but this is still not going to be an easy game for him. Other than that this is still a Grand Slam game and we will try to be prepared for anything that can happen in this tournament.
