The matches of the top players are what makes the Grand Slams something to watch out for every tennis fan. This has already been a season where we have seen some great games of tennis. Going forward in this major tournament we hope to see more interesting games in this current tournament.

One of the top players who was playing her 3rd round match was world number 1 and defending Roland Garros champion Iga Swiatek. There is no doubt that it has been a great clay season for the Polish. This time she was up against Marie Bouzkova in this game. Though Swiatek was the favorite to win this match, She was still coming back from a tough game in round 2 against former world number 1 Naomi Osaka.

Piece of cake for Swiatek

Today was also Iga's birthday and it turned out that this game was sweet and easy just like cake. Swiatek had completely dominated the Czech in the two sets she played against her winning with scores of 6-4 and 6-2. This was a game where she showed everyone why she is a world number in today's generation of Women's tennis. This victory will give her even more confidence going into round 4 which is just ahead of the playoffs.

This was another great performance from Swiatek and she will be celebrating it with a lot of joy. She will now be facing Anastasia Potapoova in the next round of the tournament. This has been a great performance from the current world number 1 and defending champion. There is no doubt that the Polish has kept her dreams of a Threepeat alive which will just be another big achievement for the great player. Swiatek will be high on confidence and will still be looking for more wins going forward in the game. All we can say is that this has been a great season and we hope she keeps getting better throughout the tournament.
