Like every sport, the Tennis world has its legends as well. The modern era is currently being ruled by Novak Djokovic and there are some youngsters like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannick Sinner coming up the ranks. This can be the moment where we finally find new legends to look up to and play their game. We know that Djokovic and Roger Federer are some of the big names in the game, but there is still one name that we can also say in the same breath as these two individuals.
The player is the king of clay known by everyone as Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard is also one of the big three names that was ruling the game along with Federer and Djokovic. The Spaniard is one of the most aggressive players due to his powerful counterpunch strokes and effective drop shots. Nadal has won 22 grand slams in his entire career winning 2 Australian Opens, 14 French Opens, 2 Wimbledons and 4 US Opens. It is safe to say that he is one of the legends of the game even today.
Nadal’s Injury might lead to Monte Carlo's withdrawal
With the clay season coming up, people are still looking forward to seeing Nadal play in the upcoming tournaments. Even though Nadal is currently not in his prime being 37 years of age, he is still the master of the clay. Unfortunately, with age, Nadal is also suffering through some injury problems going forward as well. Reports are saying that he is suffering from some back problems that could result in him withdrawing from the Monte Carlo Masters.
This will be disappointing for the Tennis fans who were looking forward to seeing Nadal play in another tournament where he has dominated everyone. The love for Nadal is still strong and it is unfortunate to see one of the strongest and fittest athletes in the game struggle like this. We hope that we get some good news about Nadal which could still see him feature in the upcoming tournament and the French Open next month.
