Paula Badosa's remarkable tennis comeback in Australian Open 2025

From being as high as WTA rank two in May 2022, Paula Badosa's career took a sharp U-turn, with her ranking falling even out of the top 100 in 2024 after a back injury in 2023. However, the star player staged her comeback in the first Grand Slam of the year, where she made it to the semi-finals but suffered defeat against world number one Aryna Sabalenka. The 27-year-old tennis star has recently talked about how the Greek sensation brought to light during her tough times and encouraged her to stage her comeback.

“I met Stef right after my injury. It was one of the hardest seasons for me because I have never spent so many months without playing tennis. And he brought me the happiness, support, and fresh air that I needed so much at that time. I felt very happy to have light in my life during such a dark time," Paula Badosa said.
