This season of tennis has been iconic not only among the men but the women as well who have continued to give us some great games throughout. There is equal anticipation from every tennis fan whether they want to see the likes of Novak Djokovic or Iga Swiatek in some of the games. There is no doubt we have talented players from both the ATP and the WTA scene, but there are still some problems faced by the players regarding this issue.

One of the biggest issues that some players are still concerned about is the difference in the salaries of both ATP and WTA players. There is no doubt that there have been some big stars in Women's tennis, but there is still a massive difference between the payment which the players are getting. This has been a major problem for the players who would also wish to be treated equally by the organisation.

Sabalenka opens up on the matter

One of the known figures in modern-day tennis is Belarusian superstar and World number 3 Aryna Sabalenka who has also currently won her first Cincinnati title this season as well. Sabalenka along with her impressive performances on the court is also known to give some bold statements on some sensitive topics in the sport as well. The 2-time Grand Slam winner stated this topic saying, "Of course, guys are always going to be physically stronger than women but it doesn’t mean we’re not working as hard as they do. Women deserve to be paid an equal amount of money that men do.”

This statement proves that there is still a huge problem with how much men and women in the game of tennis are paid and there has to be some stands to be taken by the organisations regarding this. We have to remember that both the ATP and WTA players are putting in the same efforts and there should be some work put into this situation in the future.
