There are a lot of great and talented players who are looking forward to the US Open 2024 main draw matches and we all will be looking forward to all of them. One of the players who will be one of the favourites is Serbian legend Novak Djokovic who will go on to defend his title as well. The 37-year-old is also confident after his Gold medal in Paris Olympics which has made him only the 5th player to complete a career gold slam.
Novak Djokovic will not only look to retain his US Open title for the first time, but this will also be the chance for him to win his record 25th Grand Slam title. It has not really been a dominant season like always for Djokovic but he has still been playing some great tennis and is still among the top 2 players in the scene. It is safe to say that he is still very much a favourite to win the title this season and seeing his performance in the Olympics he has been looking good so far.
Djokernole faces an injury scare just before the tournament
We all are looking forward to seeing Djokovic win another Grand Slam title to break the record which is still held by the legendary Margaret Court and continue his great form from the Olympics. Unfortunately, the Serbian legend during a training session was unable to continue further which could be a signs of injury concerns. This is shocking news since he has been looking good so far and was being backed by the whole tennis fraternity. Though we might still see him on the court during the main draw matches this is still not great news just ahead of the major Grand Slam event.
It is very much confirmed that Djokovic will continue his journey to number 25 and will start his US Open 2024 journey against Radu Albot, but these are still not great signs for him. We all hope that Djokovic who has already had surgery due to a devastating knee injury will continue and give us some more great matches in the upcoming tournament and can give the fans what they want.
