Novak Djokovic donates $200,000 to humanitarian causes; Olympic money put to good use

There have been plenty of legendary tennis players who we have witnessed as fans of the game, but the legendary figure who everybody will be celebrating is none other Novak Djokovic himself. There is no doubt that Djokovic has done enough to be a reknowned legend in the game after winning 24 Grand Slams, but is recent gold medal in Paris is what has now made him a national hero for his nation and there is no doubt it was one of the most celebrated achievements in the world of tennis as well.

The Serbian nation is also celebrating the athlete after his triumph as the president has also announced that there will be a stadium which will be built to celebrate the big star which will no doubt feature some of his most triumphant moments in the sporting world as well. The Serbian governement has even awarded Djokovic with a hefty reward of over $200,000 for his gold medal in the Paris Olympics. There is no doubt that Djokernole is officially one of the biggest heroes in Serbia right now.

Djokovic donates his reward 

The sum of $200,000 is in no way a very light sum of money and there is no doubt that Djokovic completely deserves this. However it turns out that the World number 2 has not used the reward for himslef but in fact has chosen to donate it to humanitarian causes. According to reports Djokovic has not kept a single sum of money from the reward and has chosen to use that money for the betterment of his nation. We also know that Djokovic and his Jelena Djokovic has started a foundation to educate children in Serbia as well. This is one of the most generous sides of the legendary sportsman who is known to ruthless towards his opponents.

This is definitely a huge example of why Djokovic is not only a great athlete but he also cares about his country as well. The fact that he has not used a single penny on himself and has donated the money to change other peoples lives. We all should give all our support of what Djokovic is doing for this nation and he has proven himself not only as a champion but an incredible human being as well.
