The Paris Olympics 2024 has finally started and this is a great opportunity for all the tennis players to finally win a Gold medal. There are many legends who will most likely feature in their last Olympic Event and one of them is Novak Djokovic himself. The Serbian has won all the major titles but will be looking to get the one prize he has failed to capture, which is none other than a Gold medal in the Olympics. This will probably be the last opportunity for the former World number one.

Novak Djokovic will start his Olympic campaign this season against doubles Grand Slam champion Matthew Ebden who is trying to make a comeback in singles this tournament. This was also the first time Djokovic will be up against Ebden. This was the first game which was looking like an easy win for the 24-time Grand Slam winner who is looking for his first Olympic Gold medal this season. This also was possibly the last attempt for the legend as well, who has not really been in the form of his life this season.

Djokovic gets an easy win over Ebden

This was already looking like a one-sided encounter on paper and that is exactly how Djokovic made it look in the first set itself as he went on to win by a margin of 6-0 putting the Australian under the pump straight away. The second set saw Djokovic dominate again as he went on to win the second set as well by a margin of 6-1. This was a game which completely belonged to the Serbian and it was great start to his Olympic Campaign going forward.

Novak Djokovic completely took the Australian apart in this game, where he only went on to lose just one game in the entire match. This is a great start to the event and he will be looking forward to showing the same consistency in the games ahead as well. There is still a long way to go in this tournament, but it is safe to say that this was the best possible start Djokernole could ever get in search of his first-ever Olympic Gold medal.
