The Holy Trinity has been one of the leading trios in the World of tennis and we have enjoyed all the matches featuring the likes of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic. These have been the three pillars of the game that have made the sport iconic throughout the years.

Though we have enjoyed all three of these players, the one who has been able to break major records is none other than Novak Djokovic. If we talk about players who have had complete dominance over the game, the Serbian's name is always in people's mouths, whether it is being the longest-reigning World number 1 or winning the most Grand Slam tournaments in the world. Overall it has been one of the most decorated careers in the World of tennis we have ever seen.

The lean patch of Djokernole

We all know that Djokovic is arguably one of the best players in the world with 24 Grand Slams and is the oldest reigning world number 1 surpassing the likes of Federer. He has been one of the dominant forces in the game for a long time now. However, this 2024 season has not been a season to remember for him as he has gone titleless this entire season. Losing Grand Slams is one thing, but seeing him not win a single title in the ATP tour and not even feature in the finals is an underwhelming performance for someone who has set such high standards for himself.

In the Roland Garros tournament, we also saw him withdraw before the quarter-finals due to a knee injury which has continued his rare title drought going forward. It is safe to say that it has not been the same Novak Djokovic this season, where he has faced some disappointing losses and has not looked at his best at all. It could also be that age is finally getting to him as he is also currently 37 years old. Whatever, the reasons for these performances it has still caused a lot of problems for him which has even brought him down to being a number 3-ranked player as well. Overall this might go down as one of the worst seasons of his career and we hope he gets back to his best soon.
