Keys revealed that she has won many titles in her career but was aiming to win the Slam over the years. She talked about how her team's consistent effort and motivation have allowed her to win the 2025 Australian Open after thwarting the strongest opponent ever she has faced in her elite career.
"I think they've been so important because there were so many times over the last five, six, seven years when I really didn’t know if I would ever get the opportunity again. Not only did they believe in me when I couldn't, but they also made me feel so supported and loved. It never mattered whether I won a Slam or not—they were always going to be my biggest cheerleaders. I felt like that kind of finally gave me the ability to be proud of my career, with or without a Slam," Keys said.
