Tennis sensation Madison Keys has been gearing up for the second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open 2025. Notably, the American stalwart shocked the tennis fraternity when she defeated world number one and two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets in the final clash of the Australian Open 2025 to win her first-ever Grand Slam in Melbourne Park. Sabalenka was the clear favorite to repeat her historic three-peat, but Keys ended her winning run and became the champion.

Now, the 30-year-old tennis star gears up for the Roland Garros, which is slated to take place from May 25 in Paris. However, she revealed that her husband, Bjorn Fratangelo, recently hailed her as 'best surface.' Notably, Madison and Bjorn have been together since 2017 and tied the knot in 2024.

Just a few days back, Bjorn appeared on RolandGarros.com, where he stated that the clay court surface was the best surface for his wife, Madison Keys. While answering this, Keys showcased her agreement with her husband and stated that such motivation from her 31-year-old has helped her a lot to improve her performance.

Madison Keys eyes back-to-back Grand Slam glory

Meanwhile, Madison Keys failed to replicate her success after winning the Australian Open 2025. The star player failed to win any WTA tours after the first Grand Slam glory. However, she still holds a strong chance to win another Grand Slam title here.

“He's said it a few times, and I think I understand where he's coming from. I definitely think that clay can help a lot of aspects of my game. I think the biggest thing is actually buying it and believing what he's saying makes any sort of sense. But yeah, I think I feel pretty comfortable moving on it, and I think the little bit of extra time that it gives me kind of lets me set up for my forehead a little bit more. So I definitely think that he might be onto something," Madison Keys said.
