Kalinskaya started her journey as a professional at the age of 15 in the year 2014 and had some great success in doubles where she had the highest ranking of 49 and won 3 WTA titles as well. Her singles career however started a bit slow but she eventually started moving up the ranks and won a WTA 125 title. Anna slowly started getting recognized as she went on to beat Sloane Stephens in the US Open 2019, which was one of the biggest upsets of the year. From here the Russians' career started growing from strength to strength.
Kalinskaya had made it to two Grand Slam quarter-finals both in the Australian Open 2023 doubles and 2024 singles. She is now playing some great tennis this season and is now a top 20-ranked WTA player. She is also regarded as one of the upcoming stars and one of the highest-ranking Russian players right now. It is safe to say that she is as competitive as her 22-year-old Italian boyfriend who is equally as talented as her.
