Former tennis star Jurgen Melzer issued an audacious claim concerning legendary stalwart Novak Djokovic's prospects in the forthcoming edition of the game, saying that the addition of Andy Murray as a head coach of the Serbian team could provide the spark he needs to get success in all four Grand Slam titles in 2025.
Back in 2024, the 37-year-old tennis legend only managed to grab the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, ending the edition ranking number seven globally. The Serbian acknowledged this year as one of his less remarkable outings, lamenting the omission of Grand Slam titles for the first time ever since 2017.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic made his intentions clear this time. The 37-year-old star player rebuffed any rumors concerning his retirement and confirmed his return to the court in 2025, aiming for renewed glory. To add further excitement to his stint, the Serbian further acquired the services of his former rival Andy Murray as his coach ahead of the 2025 Australian Open.

'It’s all about the Grand Slams'
With Brit on the board as coach this time of the Serbian star, Melzer feels that Djokovic will discover fresh motivation and escalate the challengers in 2025 to win all four Grand Slam titles.

“Novak has to train differently, more intelligently than when he was 30. He can no longer carry the same workload, he has to carefully choose the areas in which he wants to improve. A body at his age regenerates at a different speed, that’s why he brought Murray to the team, because he has been through everything in recent years. Andy can be a motivational boost, he can give him new joy from training. For Nole, it’s all about the Grand Slams, if he loses at a Masters 1000 it won’t be so dramatic. I think in 2025 we will see him fighting for all the Grand Slam titles,” said Melzer.
