Jannik Sinner overcame Zizou Bergs 6-4, 6-2 in his second-round match at the Paris Masters 2025. Following his win, Sinner analyzed the tricky surface in Paris by his own admission and looked forward to his Round of 16 match. The second-seeded player regarded the court to be unique, as it wasn't too bouncy and slow in nature.

After his win, the Italian was glad to have won his first match on a surface where he hadn't done well usually. He was happy with his serve and break. Sinner hoped to embrace the challenge in his Round of 16 match.

"It's a very unique court here. Usually always struggled a bit. Very happy to come through the first match. Very happy with how I served today. I was very precise. Also, I started with the break straight away, which gives you a bit more confidence. I'm happy about today's performance. Let's see what’s coming tomorrow," Sinner said in the post-match conference.

He then regarded the surface in Paris to be difficult to compare with what it was a couple of years ago. He felt the ball did not bounce a lot and was slow.

"I didn’t play last year. I usually never played well here. For me, it’s very difficult to compare with the court for 2 years.. not even last year. So it's very difficult. It is a very unique court. With new balls, the ball still goes quite fast. It's not as bouncy. But then, after the ball is quite big and slow. It changes a bit also changes the timing of the ball," Sinner added in the post-match conference.
