There have been plenty of legendary players in the WTA scene that have given us some memorable moments in the tournaments, but the player who has been the most dominant in her time is none other than Serena Williams herself. With over 23-Grand Slam victories she is arguably one of the greatest players to ever grace the court and has enjoyed a lot of success in the game.
The legacy of Serena Williams is something that is almost untouched as she has dominated the game for a very long time and is no doubt one of the most iconic figures in the World of sports. Though there are many success stories we have heard about her there were also some rare failures during her career as well. It is safe to say that it has not been the most perfect career for Serena during her amazing career in the sports and there will be some moments which she would not want to remember at all.
Serena on her most disappointing loss in the US Open
The US Open is just around the corner and there is no doubt that Serena has a great history in this tournament as well. After all she has won 6 US Open in her career and was dominating the competition throughout. However the most disappointing loss for Williams was against Roberta Vinci and she has also talked about the loss in a ESPN special documentary saying " It doesn’t end the way it does in the movies. No matter how much I feel like it could and it should.. no matter what I could’ve done different, it wasn’t my story." There was a lot more Williams said about that loss and how disappointing it was. The documentary also had the likes of Roger Federer who gives his insights on the topic as well.
