Meanwhile, the Poland-born star was ecstatic after she was able to make use of her chances to win this game against Karolina. The five-time Grand Slam winner has talked about how she never allowed rain to disrupt the momentum and how fast she was to win this thriller before rain came to halt her play.
In addition, Swiatek has also talked about controversial court changes in the Indian Wells 2025. The 23-year-old tennis star felt the court was slow and bouncy. The defending champion reveals that they have a difference between center courts and practice courts.
“I felt great. I was able to adjust (after the rain delay). I’m happy about that. I used all my chances and I’m pretty happy I played with such confidence and could finish it quickly before the rain started [again]. I feel like it’s fine. Still a slow, bouncy court. So it’s pretty much the same, but maybe it’s a bit different. It’s hard for me to say. There is a little bit of a difference between the center court and the practice courts, but this is what we have at most of the tournaments,” said Swiatek after the match.
