Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek is playing in the Indian Wells WTA 1000 event this month. Iga is going on a tough campaign this year as she faced many struggles like a Doping ban and losing the Australian Open, Dubai and Qatar and United cup WTA events.

Her biggest problem this year was losing out in the bigger matches. She lost the United Cup finals to Coco Gauff. Then, she played at the Australian Open 2025 and lost the semifinal match against Madison Keys. Swiatek then played at the Qatar Open but lost to Jelena Ostapenko in the semifinals.

In the Dubai Tennis championship, Iga lost to event winner Mirra Andreeva in the Quarterfinals. The former world number 1 has to put a full stop to her losing streak in her next big event, the Indian Wells Open. This is a WTA 1000 event, If she wins here, it will boost her confidence and ranking. Everyone knows she is a great tennis player with just a few flaws.

One of the biggest issues Iga Swiatek faces now is losing momentum at crucial times and making unintentional mistakes. Iga Swiatek lost her quarterfinals match to Andreeva due to many false shots. But she will keep everything apart and be positive for the next big event. One thing that keeps her positive before every match is listening to songs. Iga Swiatek has a habit of listening to songs just before the game starts, as she was often seen arriving at the tennis court with big headphones over her head.

She says listening to songs will keep her tough throughout the game and helps her concentrate on playing aggressively. Swiatek has now revealed that she is a huge fan of Taylor Swift, and one particular song made her a Swiftie. She was asked about the song that made her a swiftie, and she replied, Speak Now.

She added, “That was one of the first ones, and I just love the lyrics and how she describes the world. I remember I didn't speak English that well when I listened to it for the first time, and I learned so much because of it.”

The Polish player praised the album, saying it was the first time she felt like watching a movie while listening to an album song just because of the way Taylor Swift sings and describes the world. Taylor Swift has millions of fans, and she has even captured tennis stars like Iga Swiatek with her beautiful voice and way of singing.
