The New era of tennis is here and it is safe to say that the competition has not been as difficult as the recent game. The current era is right now being led by Polish player Iga Swiatek, who is stilldominating the game. Swiatek hasn’t won a grand slam this season but already has won two WTA tour titles in Qatar and Dubai. She will also be the defending champion going into the upcoming French Open as well.

Unfortunately at the Stuttgart Open Swiatek lost a tight 3 set semi final to world number 4 Elena Rybakina. This was perhaps one of the most intense knockouts where Rybakina finally got her revenge after a loss in the finals of the Qatar Open. Swiatek did try to claw her way back in the game, but it was finally Rybakina who was the best player on the court and deservingly made it to the finals.

Swiatek opens up on semi final loss

This was a rare loss by the 4-time grand slam champion who was evidently not at her best on the court that day. Swiatek also went on to open up on her loss saying to the Kazakhstani saying “ Well, there is no, like, one specific thing . I just think, you know, honestly probably me, Aryna, and her are the best players on tour, honestly. She had struggles with some injury, but every time she's healthy she is playing well." Swiatek also went on to say there are many hard specifics to her game and she is just a good player.

This was a really humble statement by the world number 1 who knows who are the players who are very competitive in recent times. This is one of the best ways Swiatek has dealt with a loss against a player who she had dominated in Qatar as well. It will be interesting to see Swiatek comeback in the next few tournaments and prove her worth once again.this also shows the competitive nature of the WTA right now.
