Taylor Swift penned world number one Iga Swiatek a handwritten letter on Friday while she was at the American pop icon's Eras Tour event at Liverpool, Anfield Stadium in the UK. The 23-year-old also said that she cried several times during the show and that she felt "dead" following the incident.

Notably, the Polish star has recently captured the Roland Garros title, finishing up an incredible clay-court run. The Pole secured her fourth French Open title and her fifth Grand Slam overall, defeating Jasmine Paolini in the final match.

Iga Swiatek, who was talking about attending Swift's concert earlier in the year, left  Roland Garros on Saturday after the title and headed to the UK. Notably, the young star had mentioned at the Madrid Open that she had one ideal show in mind.

Iga Swiatek finally disclosed on social media that she enjoyed the show in Anfield and hailed Taylor Swift for the "incredible" and "amazing" performance. The five-time Grand Slam champion also displayed a handwritten letter that Swift had given her; she didn't read it all, just the part that said "congratulations" from the singer.

Yes, it was incredible. You are amazing, Taylor Swift: Iga Swiatek

"Ask Jules, he's an IMG agent, so he should get it. No, but it's hard with the schedule. I think there’s one show that is going to be perfect but I think the tickets are already sold out. Not yet? So I can just buy them? Well, then what's the problem? Okay, I'll get to it. Honestly, I didn't check before, so thanks for the reminder. I like it. I would say there are, like, seven songs that I really like. I made a playlist of all of them. I know Taylor wouldn't approve of me listening to only some of them, but I have my picks. Rest of them are," Swiatek said.

"I'm dead. Yes, I cried many times during the show. Yes, it was incredible. You are amazing, Taylor Swift," Swiatek wrote on Twitter.
