Tennis star player Iga Swiatek recently opened up about her fears and how demanding the tennis schedule is for them, which gives them no rest. The 22-year-old is currently in Rome for the Italian Open 2024 and she aims to defend her French Open title. The young player recently won the Mutua Madrid Open 2024 after defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the third set tiebreak.

However, Iga Swiatek has revealed that the tour is getting more demanding owing to the lengthy tournaments and the rules featured in both ATP and WTA. The 22-year-old player feels that scheduling must be planned wisely so that one cannot miss any important events and must be getting ready for the next one.

"Overall, the Tour is getting more and more demanding, because of the length of the tournaments and all these mandatory rules, both on ATP and WTA. Scheduling-wise, the planning is going to be more important, sometimes even [missing] some tournaments that are important for you, for you to be ready for the next one. Even if I win [a tournament], it doesn't stick in my head. I celebrate for one day, then I'm off to another tournament ... in my head," said Iga Swiatek.

She revealed that she wasn't ecstatic after the Madrid Open 2024, but she was tensed as she needed to prepare for the Italian Open 2024  ahead of the French Open 2024. In addition, the Polish-born star feels that the tours are much longer and one does not get off days to enjoy the time or to relax.

"We don't have time to rest properly. You have to use these days [between long-running events] and treat them a little bit like days off. These tournaments are longer and it's not possible to have days off [like] before, so sometimes you have to have them during. I'm happy to be here because I love this place," she added further.
