The Canadian Open has just started and there have already been some great matches and surprising results in this edition as well. One of the shocking exits of the game was when World number 5 Daniil Medvedev exits from the contest after losing to unseeded player Alejandron Davidovich Fokina in the second round of the tournament.

There is no doubt that Daniil Medvedev will be disappointed after the loss since he was one of the favorites to win the tournament as well. Unfortunately for Medvedev he came up short in the 3 set match which ended his chances of staying alive and winning the ATP tournament in Toronto for a second time. There was no doubt that this was one of the biggest upsets of the tournament already which surprised everyone.

Medvedev makes huge accusation on ATP

You might think that the loss was enough to shut Medvedev's mouth and he should be going home, but it turns out the Russian had to give his opinion on what he thinks that the ATP board was wrong to do. The topic for discussion was the disqualification of Denis Shapalov in the Washington Open who once again was made to forfeit the game after taking a jab at the officials and the board. Medvedev gave a statement saying " I don't think Denis should have been disqualified. From what you hear on TV, he deserved a warning and maybe a fine after the match, but that's it, so I was really very surprised." This was already a big jab at the board as he questioned the decision taken by the organization.

Medvedev further added on the matter saying "  I think the ATP is doing some good things and some not so good things at the moment, but I have the impression that they don't know where they are going, They want to be like Formula 1 and football. But in this case you can't ask players to stay calm like robots, while around them there is a circus and a show. Things need to be clearer for the players and the spectators." There will be a lot of problems that will be faced by Medvedev, where it seems like this is just him criticising the board on the decisions they are making on how to handle the players in the game.
