After his return at the Italian Open 2025, Jannik Sinner stated that he had spoken to very few people during his suspension ban and used those three months in a correct manner. While he was surprised to receive texts from his fellow ATP players, he said that he was snubbed by the players and his teammates, whom he had expected during his hard time.

Jannik Sinner revealed that he had spoken to star player Jack Draper, as he is really a great friend of his. He also stated that he also had conversations with Lorenzo Sonego. However, the Italian star stated that he had expected some messages from other friends as well, but nothing arrived from them.

"I haven't spoken to almost anyone. I've spoken to Draper, we're great friends and he came to train with me, then with Sonego. At the beginning of the suspension I received some surprising messages from certain players, while from others from whom I perhaps expected something, nothing arrived,” Sinner said in his pre-tournament press conference.
