The US Open 2024 is around the corner and the hype for this season is unreal as all the top players are set to compete for the last major title of the season. This Grand Slam event has a lot of hype and it will be interesting to see which player will be victorious at the iconic Flushing Meadows in New York and get their hands on the major title.

One of the players who will be a favourite in the upcoming tournament is Kazakhstani superstar Elena Rybakina, who is among the top ranked WTA players right now. Though it has not been the best last few tournaments for her, there will still be a lot of expectations from her in the upcoming tournament where she will be looking to give one of her best performances, especially after her disappointing performance in Cincinnati where she could not even make it to the round of 16. This Grand Slam event will be important for her to get back into form after missing out on some big tournaments this season.

Rybakina to go solo in New York

The coach's role in the game of tennis makes a huge difference in the player's performance. Rybakina was under the guidance of Stefano Vukov, who has been coaching her since 2019 and was a part of her triumphant 2022 Grand Slam win in Wimbledon. However, it turns out that Rybakina has announced that she has split us with her coach saying, "Hello Everyone, After 5 years, Stefano and I are no longer working together. I thank him for his work on-court and wish him all the best for the future. Thank you all for your support.”

This decision has taken everyone with surprise and it turns out that Rybakina will be going solo in New York for the Grand Slam coach without any coach. She still might give us some great performances in the tournament, but the question will be that who will be the replacement for Vukov going forward who will train the 25-year-old talented player. This is a bold decision taken by her and the team and it will be big shoes to fill for the one who will take Vukov's place.
