The Geneva Open has opened to a large number of audience with one of their massive draws to date. The tournament will feature some of the top players in the business. This might be one of the most iconic ATP 250 tournaments that will feature one of the biggest players in the whole ATP scene.

The match which the people will be waiting for is the first game of Novak Djokovic who is one of the wildcards of the tournament. This will also be his last chance to win an ATP title this season. This will also be the last game before the playoffs where the Serbian will be up against Yannick Hanfmann who has come back from a big victory against Andy Murray whom he beat in two straight sets. Looking at the clay season we can be sure this might be a tougher battle than it looks.

Hanfmann's chance against the world number 1

Though we all think that Djokovic is the clear favourite to win this encounter, this is also a chance for Hanfmann to go from beating a former world number to the current world number 1. This is also the first encounter between the two players, which means that the Serbian does not know much about the 32-year-old German who could take him by surprise. However, there will be people who will want Djokovic to finally win this tournament being the highest seeded player and end his long drawn trophy drought.

This match looks like an easy battle for someone like Djokovic who has managed to beat the best players in the game through his career. However, we still have to remember that this has not been a season that has been iconic for him at all. Hanfmann will have a challenge ahead of him, but he still has a slightly out-of-form Djokovic who he will be up against. Whatever happens, the crowd will either have another shocking surprise or Djokovic will move forward and have his eye on the title.
